It is heartbreaking to think of these Nepalese orphans in need of of loving, stable families and these American families desperately wishing to incorporate these children into their families. That the U.S. government is creating artificial barriers in this process is truly disappointing. -

As these children wait in institutional settings, they are being deprived of both physical and emotional nourishment.REPORT COMMENTS

I would like to add that I think that all PAPs who had a dossier registered with the Ministry before the August 6th suspension was enacted, should be able to complete their adoption. I am one of those families.REPORT COMMENTS

Please don't make these kids stay in the orphanages longer than they already have and please don't make their waiting families wait any longer to love and take care of them.REPORT COMMENTS

The state department should enable these families to come home as quickly as possible. I'd also like to ask the state department to reconsider the decision not approve any more abandonment cases. There are many children that have been in orphanages for years without parental visits, and regardless of the quality of their paperwork, they are clearly abandoned. They have eliminated the possibility of these children ever having a family when there are US families willing to provide a family for them. Nepal is in a state of flux, so this makes documentation more difficult, but it also increases the number of children needing families. I think this needs to be taken into account in this decision.REPORT COMMENTS

I implore you to bring these families home. Other countries with concerns have let the 2009 families with dossiers in the pipeline continue with diligent investigations, but the US chose not do to this. Families have been devastated by this policy.REPORT COMMENTS

The pain and suffering that is being caused to these 80 families, who have already met and adopted "their" children is mind boggling. Please expedite these visas so that the children, and in some cases entire families, can come home.REPORT COMMENTS
