I am going through a custody battle with my soon to be ex wife. She filed for emergency custody and then filed a pfa. Which are the worst thing ever. The pfa that is. Guilty until proven innocent..... anyhow I went from my 6 year old daughter practically living with me, to no contact at all. I can't even talk to her over the phone. Because of actions of an ex partner of my daughters we have been alienated and have no contact with our granddaughter. This is sick, evil and so painful. We are good loving people who have raised 6 wonderful children and have 6 grandchildren but one who has been alienated to the point of not even being able to express any feelings or care for us. I , as the mother, have been a subject to PAS. My ex husband has done many things over the past 10 years to make me look like I am the unstable one by his brainwashing and being manipulating. His family had also has done the same thing. He would obtain false PFA ' s on me and used those in his behalf to keep the children. I am a stepmother experiencing and witnessing firsthand the reality of parental alienation, seeing a wonderful Dad lose his formerly close relationships with several children due to a mother's relentless brainwashing. The youngest child, a girl of 15, who was close to her Dad when I met him, now has nightmares, panic attacks, severe depression, is afraid of her father and hates him, does not want to be with him, has turned her back on some important values she used to share with her Dad, has abandoned her hobbies and has gone from an A-student to a 2.5, and is filled with bitterness, anger, confusion, and despair. She has been programmed by the mother so that we cannot even talk to her to try to sort this out. Nor can we hug her. She badly needs our affection, but cannot accept it, and she effectively shuts us out, though we love her so much. She is suffering immensely, and so are we. And she will be scarred for life. In addition, an elder daughter is completely estranged from us. Definitely the laws need to change. Right now, the legal system is completely ineffective to help in our case; we can't even trust our own attorney. We keep looking for someone who can see the obvious, but no one can. I have been fighting for equal time with my 9 year old twins in Asheville NC for the past two years my x has acuesed me of verbal and physical abuse in front of them during our marriage. Her attorney told her to do this proven to be untrue. Her and attorney filed for emergency custody filing a statement DSS was investigating me and I was homeless they never heard of me I also proved untrue now just before Christmas they are trying to reinstate it for the same lie I have already proven not true she won't let me talk to them on the phone Denise my court ordered visitation at her attorneys advise and the judge does nothing about the fraud or the contempt my x commits I have tried to pay my support ordered to pay through CSE but can't she has to set up the account she won't now I'm facing contempt charges wile the judge pays no attention to her contempt and lies made me to seem unfit all because I filed for equal time.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a targeted parent and am currently dealing the nightmare of parental alienation, I have two children but only one is successfully being manipulated by his grandparents (legal guardians). A court order written by Orange County Va court enabled the grandparents to keep me away from my son. By them allowing him to decide if he wants to go or not because this court order stated after everything that if parties didn't agree the grandparents have the final say. They have abused their role as guardians by creating a dictatorship and this nightmare has manifested. My children were turned into weapons used to control, torment, and punish me for leaving their son. Grandfather taking it one step further and using it to sexually harass me, knowing I knew my son blamed me for everything that happened with his daddy I couldn't bare the thought of giving him one more reason to resent me nor did I want to risk what little time I was getting with my other son. Since that court order was entered I had only one visit over night with my son. IN THREE YEARS! In order to fight for custody my change in circumstances had to be having a home for them. I had left the father who had become a convicted felon (indecent liberties with a minor) I had no where to go and no money. It's been a long and very difficult road but I was finally in a home of my own and was ready to fight for custody, but after affording the house and all the furnishings I still couldn't afford an attorney. Child protective services were of no help, their investigation turned up no abuse or neglect. So I went to court on my own I was hopeful that the justice system would finally prevail and they would see these monsters for what they really are. But to no avail, they granted me custody of one child, splitting my boys up and allowing the alienating grandparents to continue corruption. There's so much more to this, things I couldn't make up if I tried, and the court preceding with nothing but absolute perjury. The guardian ad litem couldn't see the animosity and hatred for me was fabricated by brainwashing. This is absolute neglect and abuse. My son is at the doctors office regularly, and in therapy for depression, he's on Prozac yes Prozac, he has no social life whatsoever, he is catered to, he is treated like a baby by the grandparents, they were still wiping his rear end for him at the time they got custody and the court was privy to the fact. Thus is just a short list. But I am at loss, because no one will open their eyes and because the law doesn't recognize this abuse. It's blatant and plain as day. But no one of authority sees it. But it wasn't limited to parental alienation, my son that they couldn't or didn't care to manipulate suffered through all of this because he wanted to be with me. The boys were never treated equally and was tormented and harassed by the grandparents. The legal system has given me no way to stop this. And I don't know what to do.REPORT COMMENTS
