Its ridiculous the gov squanders so much money. But hardly ever spends money on things that helps people. They are to worried about making money for their lobbying friends. Big pharma has no interest in cures. But it is high time we take our country back from corporations and corrupt politicians. 30 million US citizens have this disease. I know my story is no different from the others. This virus, by the grace of God, has not been as physically challenging for me as I know it has the ability tonbe. And I hope it stays that way. However, the pain that I experience emotionally since finding out 7 months ago can not be put into words. I'm not always sad, but when I think about being "found out" or being rejected it hurts. I look the same on the outside and my personality is still bright, but what my family doesn't know is that behind closed doors their precious baby girl suffers in silence with a battle that sometimes seems larger than life. Nobody but God knows about my situation. I have changed emotionally and mentally. With God's help I have been able to have more good days than bad, but when it's bad- it's really bad. Unbearable to say the least. And today just so happens to be one of those days. Although I suffer alone, I know that my God suffers with me. And every night I pray, that he will put it in the hearts of whoever has the power and knowledge to do so, to take whatever means necessary to cure this virus. Although I'm learning to cope, I miss the old days when I felt like nothing could hold me back. I can only hope to feel like that again. After reading the comments on this petition my prayers are no longer just for myself anymore. I continue to have hope, and dance and have fun, because I wont let this virus define me. I'll keep telling myself this until I can actually believe it! And I have to smile! Otherwise I would be crying :) We all need to keep smiling and laughing, or we will always feel sick with despair. This virus is hard to deal with, and the stigma that comes with it im sure none of us deserve. But I like to keep in mind the words at Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything through prayer and supplication, let your petitions be made known to God. And the peace of God that excels all understanding, will comfort you." I pray I don't have to suffer for long, maybe just maybe something can be done. I know the thought of a cure may seem abstract to some, but it really shouldn't be. I wish none of us had to suffer with this virus. Congress please get on board with finding and funding a cure.REPORT COMMENTS
