Please just repeal the old law calling military dogs "equipment" and create a simple bill allowing the humane adoption of this veterans which will not be tabled or stalled in committees. I do not believe the dogs are affiliated with any party. They love unconditionally. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

I am shocked that you would call a living thing equipment in the first place. They are more than equpment they put their live on the line for use. I have read that it cost money to ship one of these dogs home. I was in the USMC and we shipped all kinds of things home your telling me that if they are equipemnt that you could not find a place for them on anyone of the planes coming back to the states how much room can a dog take up. There are dog handler that would gfive anything to have that one dog with them not matter what.REPORT COMMENTS

These dogs are veterans too not "equipment", and should be treated with the same respect. Please help these brave dogs return home after having put their lives on the line for our country.REPORT COMMENTS

I was a dog handler in the USMC, and my dog was Sgt Khaki. I was her first handler, and we served in Afghanistan for 7 months in 2010. To whom it may concern, these people sitting safe behind your desks and making decisions to treat these dogs as equipment is unamerican. These dogs have zap codes just like the rest of us. I know that you all in Congress will never understand the bond that dog handlers have with their dogs, but believe us when we say that words can't even begin to explain it. Also, if you were a dog handler and you are now in Congress passing these bills to euthanize military dogs, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Evedently you have forgotten who was right there by your side looking out for you. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about Khaki. Please pass this bill so when Khaki is done with her duties, I will have a better chance of adopting her.REPORT COMMENTS
