    If the dogs serve their country and their 'soldiers', they deserve to be honored, and live a retired life of leisure, paid for by the government of the United States. They have done more for our country than retired senators, congressmen/women that do nothing in harms way and get FULL retirement benefits.

    This is immoral. These dogs and their soldiers form relationships unlike any other. To deny those military personnel who wish to retain or reacquire their canine partners, or any other adoptive owner who is qualified willing and willing to take in such an animal is an unconscionable act of cruelty to both dogs and people. I would [financially] support any program which allows facilitates such a transition and bring them home.
