I DARE McConnell, Boehner and Cantor (ESPECIALLY Cantor) to play this game. Maybe then they'll understand that people who don't make millions a year lobbying for corporations while in Congress and will end up making millions more when they're finished in Congress can't just "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" when you live on the razor's edge to begin with. Unfortunately, I doubt they'd take anything away from it because it doesn't fit their ideology so it must be some kind of "liebrul conspiracy to make us look bad!!!!111one"

Why don't you try to live a healthy, wealthy and prosperous life if you are in late middle age, with a family, laid off and on unemployment with no immediate job prospects, plagued with pre-existing medical conditions and are unable to afford health insurance (at $1,800/month for a family of 3). What if you also have had to cash in your meager 401K savings to pay medical bills? Could you handle it? What if your mortgage is in danger of foreclosure and you have large balances to try to pay on your gas and electric bills that you cannot make full payments on? Could you handle it? What if you had a bright, highly motivated kid in the state college system who may have to drop out because there isn't enough financial aid available for him to pay the exhorbitant fees and tuition for next semester? If you can, why don't you share your secrets with your stoic and suffering constituents? Your constituents WANT to work and get their lives back together! Opportunities are truly and simply not there. Your constituents want to work, support and care for their families, yet you and your colleagues have done next to nothing because you can't get your acts together! Good people are dying because of your collective inaction, and many more will follow. Remember what happened to the have-nots in the Great Depression? Or why don't you work together with your colleagues on the other side of the aisle FOR your real constituents instead of the large and self serving campaign donors who could afford to help to get you elected?

Our financial reality hit a few years ago, and without much consideration or compassion from the community around us. There is a lot of ignorance around the current squeeze, and our children are affected on every front. PLAY THE GAME to OPEN YOUR EYES.

It is awful that many people think all poor people are on the take. This is promoted by our politicians and especially the conservative republicans.

If everyone of our politicians could experience life below the poverty line in America, then perhaps they wouldn't be so cavalier about trying to reduce or eliminate all social welfare benefits in this country. Now is not a time to be cutting back on assisting the poor. Perhaps this game may give them the slightest inkling of what so many Americans are going through.

It's a lot easier to play this game than to actually make ends meet, unemployed as I am. I don't want a handout, I don't even want a jobs program, I want the government to stop interfering in our economic lives so that we can feel accountable for our own choices. Life's rough; having a false sense of entitlement makes it all the worse in the long run.

Madams and Sirs, I am a tax preparer. Over the past several years I've had to deal with many of the people suffering exactly the same quandaries illustrated by the game. The only difference I found is that instead of sub-letting space to a stranger, they ARE the stranger OR they've returned to parent's homes with their children. OR they've tried to survive in cars. For God's sake and for goodness sake please find ways to alleviate the inhuman burdens almost 1/5 of our citizens live under.
