I believe with the world the way it is today that any child with unknown where abouts longer than a half hour is unacceptable much less 24 hours. Any child that goes unreported and is found harmed in any way, that child's gaurdian should be held accountable for neglect at the very least. I think there should be no bails, maximum time served for any that do not report an incident of a missing child. The children of today are this country's leaders of tomorrow. They should not be taught that a parent can "misplace" their child and be let free with no consequences. If the parents fail to report a child missing it is this country's responsibility to speak for and defend that child's right to a long and safe childhood. There is no doubt that Caylee's tragedy would have ended any differently, however atleast her spirit would rest at peace knowing that she recieved atleast an ounce of justice that an innocent three year old would deserve. I believe that this law will give her that along with any other child that has endured this type of trama. We can only hope that the fear of facing criminal charges will reduce the number of missing, abandoned, and children harmed. Even one child that benefits from this law is a huge difference! No doubt the problem will disappear but it is our reaponsibility to try to make a difference.REPORT COMMENTS
