In 2004 I ended up unexpectedly needing to stay in Kathmandu over three months to complete the adoption of my daughter. At two years old no "family", no anyone in Nepal, had checked on her for over a year. She suffered from malnutrition, parasites, scabies; had numerous scars and burns on her body, and was slowly going blind from an easily treated condition. I would have never left my child in such a place. I would have stayed two years. These people will never leave their children. Every week they stay there there will be more articles and news reports. Please let them come home. We are not asking you to re-open adoptions in Nepal, we know the problems, just let these people bring their children home. No one in Nepal has come forward claiming any of these children and they have been in orphanages most of their lives. -

Bring these children home to their families. What if it were YOUR child? Red tape has no place here.REPORT COMMENTS

How many more children could be rescued and adopted to comfortable homes if so much money and energy were not wasted dealing with these ridiculous policies!REPORT COMMENTS

The woman I know who has been waiting for her child has been to Nepal met her daughter and fallen in love. After a few weeks of bonding she had to return home and leave her child behind. This has been heart breaking for her and all those who love her. Her life is in limbo. She can't sleep and she can't enjoy her life until her child is back in her arms. There is a beautifully decorated room for her daughter that is empty. Please allow these children to come home and start there lives with loving families.REPORT COMMENTS
