Dogs have always been regarded as protector but what is not widely known is how healing the presence of a dog can be. Military men and women are in need of service dogs that meet their most severe need after being physically or mentatlly wounded in the war. For these men and women to have beside them the very one who stood close with them through the most traumatic event of their life, would bring immense relief and healing to these soldiers. They need their dogs to be brought home with them because they need the very one who stood with them.REPORT COMMENTS

That these military dogs were considered "disposable objects" is UNCONSCIONABLE. They have done their job. The very least we can do is bring them home with their handlers. BRING THESE DOGS HOME.REPORT COMMENTS

These are animals who in many cases have performed their job admirably. They are not a used piece of equipment. They have attachments with their handler & often vice versa. They should be retired and given to their handler once they've done their duty.REPORT COMMENTS

We don't leave any soldier including the canine corps behind in enemy territory. The US Military should be restricted from abandoning such loyal and brave freedom fighters who deserve to come home to a comfortable retirement in America with their handler or some other loving family. It is un-American to let the Afghani's eat our dogs!.REPORT COMMENTS
