If you want to stop drug smuggling, potential terrorists and illegal immigrants from crossing the border into the U.S. why are you cutting funding to those who protect us all? Doesn't make any sense. Maybe you should try doing the job of our brave Border Patrol Agents!REPORT COMMENTS

The men and women who live by Honor First have worked hard to become federal law enforcement officers - testing, interviewing, physical training, academy, etc. Most have had to uproot their families to move to new states & even smaller border towns. They risk their lives daily to help keep our nation safe from the influx of drugs, weapons & criminals. In short, they have given their lives, time, blood, sweat & tears to protect our homeland from illegal activity. They are only doing the job that the government tasked them to do - enforce the laws of this nation. What people rarely hear about is the number of lives that Agents save when men, women & children who enter the country illegally are found dying from dehydration, heat exhaustion, injuries & wounds in the middle of the desert or brush, or stuffed into small cargo areas of vehicles. You also rarely hear about the women who are saved from being raped or put into prostitution. Or the thousands & thousands of pounds of drugs that are kept off the streets and out of the hands of our children. I will celebrate the bravery and accomplishments of the Patrol and continue to stand by their mission. I will keep my hopes high that this budget situation gets resolved soon for all employees & their families who will be unfairly and negatively impacted.REPORT COMMENTS

I am the wife of a border patrol agent. I am an RN and a US Vet, I find this insulting to our border patrol agents. Is the chief of the border patrol taking a pay cut? Is congress, senate, and the president taking a pay cut? Because they should?REPORT COMMENTS
