This plan disgusts me. My husband has served and protected this nation's border for 12 years. This is a punch in the stomach to agents and their families. We feel abandoned by the country he swore to protect. There are many other things that can be cut, that are unnecessary. But a 40% cut, when he's done NOTHING wrong, it's just wrong and dangerous. I hope Congress pulls their collective head from their collective ass, and work together. There is no victory in this decision.Mar 17th, 2013Someone from Sierra Vista, AZ signed.

Dear Congress, My husband is my hero. He puts himself on the line day after day to keep our borders safe. He is proud of what he does and loves ur country. I can tell you right now, this sequestration is going to ruin many people financially. A 40% cut in pay is beyond ridiculous. H do you expect BP families to survive? And how to you expect to keep our borders safe with the reduction in hours and man-power? I think the safety of our country should be the number one priority. Think about the men and women who put their lives on the line day after day. Fix this sequestration. This is not right. Put America first.REPORT COMMENTS

This is beyond ridiculous! How can this be done to the men and women who risk their lives, day and night, rain, sleet or snow? I think congress needs to put on that uniform and spend a day in their shoes to understand what they face daily and then to have this weighing on their shoulders too! We NEED these brave Americans to keep our country safe! Come on Congress get this fixed and take care of the men and women who take care of you while you sleep peacefully in your massive houses!! Oh and stop taking care of other countries and take care of AMERICA FIRST!REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Congress, I have a very dear friend in the Border Patrol who will lose 40% of his salary if you do not solve this sequestration crisis. Please find a way to put this partisan BS behind us and do your job (which is to solve TOUGH problems). It's pathetic that you let it get this far and only focus on pointing fingers rather than finding middle ground. Real families will suffer from YOUR inaction. Get it together and fix this now. Respectfully, Joshua Patterson, Esq.REPORT COMMENTS

Please don't mess with those who protect our country. These agents are the first line of defense against letting our country become overridden with those who wish us ill. Please find another way.REPORT COMMENTS

Why shoukd Border Patrol face a 40% paycut when the overall amount of these total cuts equals just a 2% reduction. Also its funny that the secret service are not facing cuts.REPORT COMMENTS

Border Patrol Agents are a great necessity in our area. The people in the Rio Grande Valley need these agents to ensure our safety and border protection. The less agents there are on duty the less protection we will have.REPORT COMMENTS
