If you want to cut overtime. Custom agents are the ones you want to cut. Just stop letting anything into the country and then Americans can buy American made products. (They also have a mandatory Overtime requirement which Border Patrol does not). Border Patrolmen need to over time to finish up the paper work from their cases if they have cxaught illegals, and it is impossible to change teams in the middle of a case. I know, I worked closely with the agents doing all the record checks. Why don't you cut where things really need to be cut. Like Foreign aid. Doesn't anyone in Washington know what a Border Patrol agent goes through and does? Stop the pay decrease and support the Security of the Border. Your dispatchers are truely reall UNDER PAID for the job they preform with office safety and doing all the record checks both criminal and Immigration check to prosecute the criminal aliens that illegally cross the borders of the United States, Daily, hourly and minute by minute.Mar 27th, 2013Someone from El Paso, TX signed.

Border Patrol Agents do their job and do it well. Congress and the president barely do their job. Border Patrol Agents do their job and get a huge pay cut. Congress and the president dont do their job and vote on a pay raise. Clearly we see where the priorities are in this country. Fix this pay scandal for Border Patrol Agents please. Your reelections may depend on it.REPORT COMMENTS

Not to mention the fact that a 40% pay cut will cause agents to default on their mortgages go in to bankruptcy and have their vehicles repossessed. Then when they can't pass their back ground investigation due to the fact that they are in default at reasons beyond their control, THEN WHAT! Will CBP allege that they are now a liability to the service and seek termination on the agent when this was all because the service was unable to maintain a budget. WHAT IS THE SERVICE THINKING!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS
