Why don't we threaten to cut Congress' pay and see if that forces them to come up with a budget?Mar 27th, 2013Someone from Sierra Vista, AZ signed.

I'm a pretty reasonable guy, but this is just outrageous.Illegal alien apprehensions and narcotic seizures are at a all time high due to these agent's work. Work which involves working extensive hours and not to mention working outside, being exposed to blistering heat along the southern border. This job is no 8-5 desk job in an air conditioned office, these guys get down and dirty. Like I mentioned above, I'm a reasonable person, if cuts have to be made across the table why not a 10-15% pay cut. The U.S. should first drastically cut foreign aid and people who abuse food stamps and other type of government assistance before going after these hard working agents which actually contribute to society.REPORT COMMENTS

To our congressmen and senators ...can you and your families survive on a 40% payout? I doubt you would even consider that...yet you don't mind taking money from those that protect our borders and risk their lives while you can vote yourselves a raise whenever you feel like it all while you are sitting behind a desk not laying your life on the line!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Absurd that these loyal public servents would be expected to take the brunt of the necessary governmental cut backs. Are congress and senate cutting their own salaries by 38-40%?REPORT COMMENTS

Homeland Security was designed to protect our homeland..The Border Patrol is understaffed. The Border Patrol confiscates more drugs and weapons than any other federal agency. The Border Patrol helps secure our borders... What is our government thinking?..What message is our government sending to the people who want to take over the world?..Or doesn't our government realize what is going on in the world right now ?REPORT COMMENTS
