Sharia is not our way now or never was, unless the punishment of Sharia which usually is severe is utilized as we can't afford to house repeat offenders. 2-3 time losers should get death no matter what the felony, this should exempt misdemeanors of course. One who commits a crime should be given one chance, maybe a second no matter what the felony, after that it would be death! I call that deterrence. It should work.
