Please stop this one sided massacre of children, women, and innocent people. This is cruelty, and we would not do this to even animals. Animals are treated better than this in civilized countries. I am writing in response to the recent events in Gaza, where Israel has killed over 1200 Palestinian civilians since the beginning of the military attack three weeks ago. As I write this, news about Israel's destruction of Gaza's only power plant is being broadcast by international news agencies and there seems to be no end in sight. In the face of the vastly asymmetrical violence which affects mostly Palestinian civilians, the Conservative government's pro-Israel stance is not only disturbing but seems to imply a disdain for history, context, common sense and humanitarian law. The only responsible action in the face of the asymmetry of power and the obvious violations of human rights, international and humanitarian law by the Israeli occupying army is to call for an immediate ceasefire and lifting of the crippling blockade of Gaza, as well as a call for an arms embargo to be enforced against Israel. I strongly urge you to stand on the right side of history.REPORT COMMENTS
