My wife has been suffering with this illness for over 12 years. She is constantly vomiting and nauseous. I hate seeing her suffer and would like for more doctors to be educated on this illness. The treatments don't always work and there is no cure. I don't know how else I can help her. As a last resort we make the trip to,the ER. This doesn't always help either. I am suffering from this. I am about to loose my job because of my inability to work due to all the vomiting and lack of nutrition. Suffering in silence putting myself and my boyfriend into debt because I can't qualify. I've paid taxes for years but my illness isn't worth my contributions. So discouraging. I have idiopathic gastroparesis. I just lost my job after being out sick too long. What am I supposed to do now? I could only work half time due to my weakness and fatigue so I have no unemployment. I can't find a job because I am severely underweight and need a surgery when I get stronger. I hear I need to hire a lawyer to start a disability claim and the process takes two years then it is so difficult to win because hardly anyone has heard of stomach paralysis, gastroparesis.REPORT COMMENTS

Suffer from severe gastroparisis and have type 2 diabetes. Have not been able to work 1 1/2 years. My medicines cost is outrageous and I have 2 children 9 and 12. My symptoms Include severe nausea, stomach pain, GERD. Now diagnosed with colon dismotility and pelvic floor dysfunction. It causes painful colon spasms and chronic constipation.
