A lot needs to be done on behalf of those military members suffering from PTSD. Please assist them and their families in any way possible. They helped fight for our nation and it is up to us to fight for them!Dec 6th, 2011Someone from Lenoir City, TN signed.

PTSD is just as real as any other combat injury. It effects the lives of the service man and their family. My husband suffers from PTSD caused by an IED explosion that nearly took his life and the lives of his friends. More people need to be aware of this condition and the impact it leaves forever on their daily lives.REPORT COMMENTS

My husband, an Infantry Marine veteran with 2 combat tours has PTSD...therefore, I have PTSD. This illness effects everyone in the veterans family who has it. I have personally lost 1 job, and almost 2 others due to the severe PTSD episodes we deal with. So much more needs to be done to bring this issue into the forefront. Veterans AND their families need support and resources and to have the stigma of being "crazy" taken away. We must do more to take care of those who have given up everything to take care of usREPORT COMMENTS

Operation Bald Eagle has seen first hand what heroes these young men are and yet we sometimes forget behind their smiles are hidden trauma. Let us never forget those who return safely...there are still issues that we don't entirely know or understand the will be with these young men the rest of their lives. We need to do our all for them...they did for us. It's the least we can do.REPORT COMMENTS

I CANNOT even imagine OUR government not helping our men and women who are dealing with PTSD after ALL they have been through for US! It seems that our government ONLY has money for what THEY want and what will BENEFIT them and the hell with the rest of America! If they don't wake up soon in DC, these "little" Occupy groups all over the country are going to all come together in Washington. MAYBE then we'll see some change that will start to BENEFIT the hard-working American people and our service men and women. Beware Washington and wake up!REPORT COMMENTS

My husband has PTSD and i live with it everyday and night i watch him with his depression, it effects or lives in so manyway, our marriage pays the price, I watch and wonder what can i do but be there and watch and make sure he does not hurt him self. and if i feel that he may need help right away and to have a VA Doctor only see him every 6months is wrong and having to pay a copay for every visit to see someone with retirement Tricare has to pay 12.00 for the 1st visit and 25 for each visit after that. they do not pay retirement for a 20 year vet to beable to pay this. so i have to watch.. thank god i am in the medical field and have some medical training.. so i know what signs to look for.. our men and women not only need to be aware of this but we need to have a NATIONAL PTSD AWARENESS , DAY OR WEEK OR MONTH people need to knwo what our men and women are going through for them..REPORT COMMENTS
