I think its shameful to think in coming of the year 2014, we are still being lied to from our Government leaders since 1930 when rich lobbyist insisted on paying off the capital to promote wood and cotton over destroying the largest commodity produced in the state from hemp. Doctors have known all along that marijuana holds properties that cannot be genetically manufactured....look at all the billions of dollars the Chase family and their mega rich investors would lose if marijuana replaced all the brainwashed and side affect drugs they manufacture to the world today!Nov 5th, 2013Someone from Shelbyville, KY writes:
I suffer from intense pain marijuana helps with the pain from many back surgery instead of pot now I've quit to go to pain management to get addicted to pain killers to poison my body can't believe you would want people on pills not potREPORT COMMENTS

We need our medicine! It's the only thing that works, it's inexpensive and simple to manage. And on top of that, it is our God given right to use this ALL NATURAL form of medicine. No one should be able to tell you that your medicine isn't working. Only we know!REPORT COMMENTS

It is ridiculous that we still have anti-marijuana laws. I am also one of the countless sufferers of anxiety and clinical depression. I have had panic attacks and psychotic fits that I feel could have been reduced by the use of medicinal marijuana at the start of these states. But I continue to suffer because of societies views of marijuana as a drug rather than a medicine. I have no interest in becoming a chronic smoker. All I want is to be able to smoke to calm me in my psychotic states.REPORT COMMENTS

VA was giving me Marinol for 12 years and DOctor left leaving me with a old doctor who wouldn't give me a script!! Can't take other antinasua Zolfran makes me go blind! Marinol cost a lot of money and isn't covered by insurance! To replace marinol I'm on 6 diffrent medication now and doesn't make sence to me!!! Because I can't take the antinasua that work on normal people I live with vomiting several times a day when my Gastropreses locks my digestive system up! I had some quality of life on marinol now it hard to do things with my young kids a normal dad should do! This is thanks to a closed minded VA doctor who let me go 4 months not knowing the growths in my lungs were cancer or not!!! I'm 5 generations Veteren on my dads side and skip my mom it is 4 on her side! My nephew has two tures of duty, my father In law was in Ww2 and keroa, his brother died in Keroa in a Pow camp! My grandfather climbed the ropes up the cliffs on Normandy and lost his brother to a bouncing Betty land mine in Keroa! my dad and uncle on my moms side was in Vietnam! I'm gulf war time and can't get treated at VA fairly becouse the doctor that had me on the marinol left VA to go to Kings Daughter! I'm not being treated a VA now because of incompent doctor that destroyed my health care! It's unfairness to me after my family give so much to this country and a little pill will take away the pain! The doctors give me moriphine or OxyContin now but it doesn't help the pain like Marinol or THC! Maybe it's because to opens the vains up to my guts so the meds will reach the places it needs to be and Emptys my stomic out by bypassing the nervice system!REPORT COMMENTS

I agree with the petition; excepting the confidentiality clause. It is obvious that the most desired effects of marijuana are a very noticeable altered state of conscience; unlike the desired effects of many prescriptions are intended. In fact, prescriptions are intended to more and more designed with less side-effects. This being said, it is also unlike alcohol which impairs a person after excessive use. If individuals choose to alter their state of conscience purposefully it should not be done at the risk of others. In this particular matter I do not believe privacy rights should outweigh the already safety risks of decriminalizing cannabis; contingent at least to learning the facts since we (as a country) are poorly educated to what decriminalizing marijuana would do to the general harmony, stability and safety of society. To believe that the risks are not possible is naïve. I believe decriminalizing marijuana would be progressive for our legal system through a natural law perspective. People should have the right to their own body and pursuit of their own happiness and mind as long it does not harm others. I feel pushing the issue like it is going to save lives is reductive of the fact that the outcome desire is an altered state of mind. Push the issue forward; just don?t beat around the bush!.REPORT COMMENTS

I suffer from severe depression and anxiety but every medication I've been on has increased my depression and suicidal tendencies. I've smoked both medical and regular marijuana which not only eased both my anxiety and depression, it actually made me enjoy life. I've quit smoking due to it being against the law and since have found no medication that has help with either of things I suffer from. So until Medical Cannabis is legalized ill continue to suffer while things get worse for me.REPORT COMMENTS

I have bipolar disorder and clinical depression.. Marijuana helps with both. I have a great life and great family... but I can't help but feel depressed because of the chemicals in my brian. Any medication for either disease makes me suicidal... but not on the choice of my own... Marijuana is the only thing that has ever made me level and happy!REPORT COMMENTS

I suffer from degenerative disc, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, migraine, bipolar and fibromyalgia. I have had 2 back surgeries and am in constant pain. I cannot take strong narcotics for pain because I have a bad reaction to it. My doctor has tried everything. This would be an alternative for people like me.REPORT COMMENTS
