Unless there is a site with greater visibility the decathlon should stay where it has been, squarely in the public eye. The issues raised by this event have only grown more critical since it's inception and this is no time to suggest a reduction in criticality.REPORT COMMENTS

This event does much to expose people with little background in either architecture or ecology to the relationship between the two as well is what may be on the horizon. I mean c'mon... you let Glen Beck and his wacky friends take over the mall. Here is something with great educational value on an issue that could help shape the future of architecture!REPORT COMMENTS

This is insane. The Decathlon sponsored by the National Government's premier authority on Alternative Energy and Conservation must remain on the nations front lawn as the show case to the world. The competition criteria is based on the Climate and Latidude of the Mall. How can this major requirement be discarded?REPORT COMMENTS

As an architect, practitioner and advocate of sustainable, solar, energy efficient design I believe that Solar Decathalon's presence on the Mall is very important. Having joined the crowds of visitors I saw first hand how much the visitors learned and benefited from the experience. Please keep Decathalon on the Mall!REPORT COMMENTS

As a faculty member working with these committed students, I urge the reversal of this decision. It is especially troubling as it has come so late in the competition process.REPORT COMMENTS

The Solar Decathalon is more important for the future of our country and our universe than book fairs or ethnic events or other such happenings showcased on our National Mall each year.REPORT COMMENTS
