I am not a student or taking direct part in the Solar Decathlon but I strongly believe it should remain at its originally booked location on the National Mall to underscore the importance and priority of developing truly sustainable alternative energy and supporting research and development to make it widely available and affordable.REPORT COMMENTS

President Obama- the visibility and prestige of the Solar Decathalon if located on the National mall is unmatched, maximizing the educational benefit for all the visitors, US citizens and international guests. The importance of moving to energy efficient, renewable energy powered, affordable and attractive, compact living spaces should be a top national priority, deserving a prominent display in the center of tWashington DC. Please reconsider the decision to relocate the Solar Decathalon away from the Mall. Thanks, Dr. Jane WardREPORT COMMENTS

The National Mall is the perfect location to showcase our national enthusiasm for energy independence and ideas. It offers an exciting stage for our young engineers to show what they've done not just to the public, but to lawmakers and other government officials. The central location helps to remind people from all over the country that this priority is central to our nation's future prosperity.REPORT COMMENTS

It would be short-sighted and stupid to end the Solar Decathlon, which is the best event of its kind for giving college students hands-on experience with solar energy technology. Please reverse this decision.REPORT COMMENTS

The solar decathlon is an excellent platform that demonstrates the ingenuity and capability of an emerging generation of designers, engineers and builders and their collective commitment to implementing a clean energy future. We should keep their efforts and this learning endeavor in the spotlight!REPORT COMMENTS

I think many Americans have stopped thinking about anything but money. If we are going to clean up the world we, all nations, must work together. At this point in time no one seems to care what is happening to our world and wants to do nothing. Those of us who really care will just need to continue to work together and do the best we can do. That means those of us who care from other nations as well. It is a sad day for our planet especially since we know what needs to be done and stand around doing nothing. We all have what is needed to move ahead and just don't seem to believe in ourselves. Mr. President please what only you can make happen and return the use of the National Mall to show that you really care about our environment and will help all to move ahead in doing what is necessary to make the proper changes. Sincerely, Neil JonesREPORT COMMENTS
