I have acyclovir resistant genital herpes. Got it from my 2nd sexual partner with whom I was monogamous - although he wasn't. I have suffered for 12 years through continuous neverending outbreaks that feel like battery acid on my skin. I will never have children. I live and work every day in great pain. This disease is very contagious and without the cure it would be hard to contain it because it can still be spread by viral shedding without outbreaks. You can even spread it by having skin to skin contact with the infected individual. Please help us. I got herpes from my very first boyfriend and who was my first at age 18. The initial outbreak was extremely painful and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I am now 36 and have had to deal with the physical, psychological and stigma that comes with it for 18years.
