Stop the bloody BLM roundups now, enough is enough. 40,000 currently in federal captivity, more than is left wild on the American range. Americans don't want the horses/mustangs/burros slaughtered, rounded up, and exterminated from the great western states. You have allowed the law loopholes for cattle and sheep at the cost of the great American Heritage, the Horse. Why don't you stop the roundups? Not only does the BLM openly lie to advocates, they lie and try to circumvent Congress as well. Last year the OIG had a scathing report on their science program, saying in essence that they had no science program worthy of the name. So, how can they claim they are using science to determine the number of horses in a given HA when they HAVE no science? Alan Shepard perjured himself in open court last year, testifying that the Owyhee gather was an emergency. When asked under cross examination if there were cattle, fences or water on that range he said no. In fact, we have a sworn affidavit by a well respected investigative reporter that all three were indeed present. Many photos to back her up. This only scratches the surface of how the BLM is totally disregarding the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horse & Burro Act, as well as the Multiple Use amendments AND the First Amendment right of the public to SEE the wild horses that THEY own by way of their tax money.
