My daughter served in Iraq for 15 months during the search driving 52 wheel convoy trucks in ambush after ambush. On October 7, 2007 there was a direct hit on the drivers door of her 52 wheeled convoy truck. For the next four years after reenlisting and staying in the Army because she loved her job... She continually suffered with insomnia, depression, Memory loss, tinnitus, headaches with nausea, anxiety, and more....and in May 2011 she was finally diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. She was at that point in her dream job of the United States Army band and chorus as a vocalist and assistant choreographer But I also know as she told me and most recently those that have left the Army have told me, she was severely bullied. Bullying is what pushed her over the edge and yet I have no reprieve for those to be held accountable and I know exactly who they are and their names.... I trusted her employer to take care of her and treat her if she needed to be treated but she feared for the loss of her job so she did not open up but they knew she had an injury. She also could not complain about the bullying because it was not an open door policy and she would have to suffer repercussions of reporting the bullying so she did not.... I want to be the voice that she could not have! I want accountability! My daughter took her life on October 3, 2011. And even that was after an unsuccessful attempt on September 6, 2011. After her first attempt she was taken off suicide watch without doctors consent. A social worker took her off watch and conveniently retired the Day after my daughter died. The doctor feared a relapse and wanted her on a continual watch which of course was not done. They also allowed her to move to an isolated floor with no roommate after getting out of the hospital from the September 6 incident. Again I want accountability! She was a highly decorated and terrific soldier, my only daughter, and my best friend....REPORT COMMENTS

I was drafted May 1953, reenlisted Pusan Korea Dec 1954 Many Promises were made and the promises broken, Involved in Nuclear Weapons test Operation Plumbbob. Many Health Issues, VA Ignores and denies compensation for related issues. The thanks you get for serving 20 + years. Never trust a person who won't look you in the eye.REPORT COMMENTS
