We Must Help Our Veterans
We the people are asking the government to ensure veterans are taken care of after returning home.
Our veterans face an uphill battle when they return home. It has been shown that 1 in 5 will have post traumatic stress disorder from their experiences in combat. Unfortunately, coupled with this is the fact that it takes years to get processed into the VA Healthcare system to get the help they need.
It is time for this government to act. The government asked them to fight on foreign shores, but it is also this government that has been neglecting heroes here at home.
We are asking that the red tape, and bureaucracy be cut, so that a more streamlined process is enacted for these veterans to get the help they need. This process needs to be almost immediate, since untreated, PTSD can become quite severe as the days go by.
Do not forget our heroes.
