VP Biden, Congress: Activate the 25th Amendment
The President has dragged America downhill, and should be replaced
September 2, 2013
If President Obama persists with his ill-advised plans to commit
an act of military aggression against Syria, he should be removed
from office by virtue of Section Four of the Twenty Fifth Amendment:
..........
Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of
either the principal officers of the executive departments or of
such other body as Congress may by law provide,
transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the
Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration
that the President is unable to discharge the
powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall
immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as
Acting President.
..........
President Obama has acted on bad advice and failed to act
on good advice, consistently throughout his 55 months and
13 days in office. His performance in office raises questions
as to his inability to discharge the powers and duties of his
office. He has wrecked the image of America as a free nation,
and damaged the reality of American freedom. He has acted
deceitfully, and seems to have abandoned many of his
original principles. He has completely lost touch with the
people of the United States and with the realities of
world history and world politics, and he has
brought about conditions worldwide which
have disempowered the American people,
subjecting a growing number of Americans
and lawful residents of the United States to
flagrant violations of justice which are contrary
to the Constitution and the laws of this country,
and he has degraded and humiliated the United States.
.
In all this, he has consistently
failed to accept responsibility,
failed to back down when he is
clearly in the wrong, and resorted
to tactics of distraction and suppression
of free speech in myriads of new ways.
.
To the American people and people of the world
who are concerned about what is happening to
America, I thank you for signing this.
