Vote "Yea" on H.R. 25 of the 116th Congress and Invoke a Fairer Tax System

Honorable Members of the U.S. Congress and the President of the United States,

We, the signatories of this petition, hereby seek your confirmation to support and pass into law Bill H.R. 25 of the 116th Congress (2019-2020). This is a Bill for the People, not just the wealthy, nor an empty promise to the poor.
By means of abolishing the ever starving behemoth known as the IRS, terrorizing citizens with audits while having little to no accountability of the disbursement of the funds it collects from the American People, H.R. 25 could and will only benefit ALL AMERICANS. Such unchecked thuggery is not a hallmark of a democratic society, or even a representative one.
By way of shifting the tax burden to provide for our nation’s budgetary requirements from a punitive income tax to a regulated sales tax is an enabling feature of H.R. 25, allowing citizens some control over their individual contributions based on ability to pay, as opposed to our former system of “let’s see how much we can vacuum up.”
The above should be more than enough for complete bipartisan support for this historical legislation, but I (the writer of this petition) would add some reassurance many require in these times, given the history of dubious motivations and empty promises that have harmed American politics, and by passive consent to such games, its people. This reassurance is ALSO written into Bill H.R. 25. From the rebate system as described in Chapter 3 to the protections of tax payers laid out in Chapter 6, SEC. 602, guarding citizens against levy, seizure, and garnishment based on human needs and earnings 50% ABOVE poverty level, HR 25 makes it clear, that we, as a People, will defend even our poorest citizens, not just in soundbites, but in law.
Honorable Members of Congress, and finally, President Trump, the ball is in your court, and the People, far too many times leveraged for votes with little in return, are aware and are watching. I, your humble author, will leave you with a quote from a far greater (and tragically under-read) man than many.

“I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.” – Frederick Douglass

We, the signatories, expect you to vote your conscience and stand tall in our history.
