Polls show the American public is ready for this now. It's time for government officials to quit sticking their heads in the sand (among other places) and do something right for a change!REPORT COMMENTS

It is our constitutional right to have this as granted by the Bill of Rights. That is what every veteran who has ever been buried in one of your cemetery fought for. We know how you keep this plant outlawed and we know why your doing it. There is no excuse for the total war on peaceful no violent tax paying Americans who use cannabis to treat an ailment or just to relieve stress. The other side is the Hemp plant, harms no one and can save the world. It is petroleum, with zero pollution, it is a complete food source for world starvation problems, and as a fiber it can make concrete and other building materials that could cheaply help America re-build our infrastructure. After the Government went in and killed the owners of Rainbow Farm (Vandalia,Michigan 2001)for trying to get a signature signing campaign in Michigan you'd think you'd pass any legislation that favors a new tax base for farmers out of just plain GUILT. If you don't feel guilty for what happened at rainbow farm then you just don't deserve to be in office. I claim we have won the drug war by default. Thank you for your time.Brian P. This sounds like an issue of science and public health. The bill calls for regulation of medical marijuana as a controlled substance and there is nothing controversial about that. The core issues are: Individual liberty, a healthy and balanced approach to medicine, and responsible state regulation.REPORT COMMENTS
