I have several issues such as panic attacks and a neurological disorder to name a couple. Marijuana is proven to help with both of my issues and no one can argue that. It's worked for half my life. Please quit making us paranoid and having to sneak around. I don't want to walk down the street and explain to my three year old daughter what that kid is smoking over on the corner, keep it out of public, but Jesus it would A.) save millions of our money on dumb events such as state troopers using Blackhawk choppers to repel and cut down marijuana in mountains. B.) Kentucky's financial woes would be in the rear view mirror as long as politicians keep their spending in check. C.)clear space and save taxpayer money by removing these petty criminal marijuana offenders from our jails and prisons. Drugs are a bad horrible burden on society and humans. Please do not be ignorant marijuana is a dried out dead plant. It is not a drug. Off subject, but a good point to add, I can smoke 5 joints and drive to Daytona without stopping with no issue. I drink 5 beers or take 5 shots before that same trip and 3 things could happen: I tear my vehicle up massively, I go to jail, or I die/kill someone else.Jul 11th, 2012Someone from Louisville, KY writes:

Come on people really ? Even if you dont smoke it, let the people who want to smoke it, smoke it. I mean i dont go around telling people not to smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol (neither has a medicinal attribute) although its argued that a glass of red wine a day will help your heart. marijauna has been said to have anti cancer properties and that marijuana smoking alone does not contribute to brown lung, a disease common in tobacco smokers. If your afraid to speak your mind even though this is a civil debate on a government made bill then it is not a democracy anymore. How is it legal in other states and not in Ky even though we are all American citizens under the constitution. It seems unjust that someone in California can get the meds they need, would be proscecuted here in Ky. Thats lame to say the least.REPORT COMMENTS

Marijuana is not a harmful drug, it doesn't kill people or make ppl do stupid crimes that lead to jail. It is not addicting and does not have the attributes. I have experienced that marijuana actually opens a persons mind as well as the people around you. It is best for most medical uses because it helps with the pain or takes your mind off of it. Also calms a person down when used in ADD, ADHD, and or other mental disability purposes. I highly agree marijuana should be legal for medicinal and personal use.REPORT COMMENTS
