Technology Education to Improve Veteran Career Paths
Veteran Employment through Technology Education Courses, or VetTec is a pilot program of the VA that has been funded at $15 million per year. Veterans have planned to attend technology education programs through this program this summer June/July/August. However, due to COVID-19 and moving schools online, the program funds have depleted before it was anticipated. Please provide additional funding to allow veterans to attend the programs they have signed up to attend and provide the BAH that they need to support their families while they are learning new skills in the high tech areas of programming, cybersecurity and data science. There are many jobs in the high tech sectors that are not filled, and veterans are a good source of loyal employees to train and protect the cybersecurity assets of US companies.
