ALL Child support payments received should be taxable income
In today's world everything exchanged for goods and/or service is taxed. whether it is earned or given. EXCEPT CHILD SUPPORT. When you work, buy something, receive large sums of money, it is taxed. it shows as your gross income for that year or time frame. Across this country, federal,state and local offices collect and distribute billions of dollars of child support to families untaxed. According to US Law, anything earned or received is considered income. This is a call on all levels of government that all child support be taxed. This will generated billions of taxes dollars on every level to supply programs catering to parents( mothers and fathers alike) co existing in a child life for better development and to end some of the wars between parents and money.
