Tax Credit for Voters
I, hereby, petition the United States House of Representatives to pass a law that gives a federal income tax credit of a fixed amount to those citizens who vote in a national election. The higher the turnout to participate in our democracy, the healthier and stronger our democracy will be. We should strive to increase the number of eligible citizens who choose to exercise their right to vote. The vote is what makes a democracy, apathy, on the other hand, is what breaks a democracy.
