SUPPORT SOLAR PANELS ON PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND CONTINUED INVESTMENT IN RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Please sign if you think investing in solar power technology can help reach short and long term economic goals.

Renewable energy is an important future asset that can act as a catalyst for the U.S. economy. Although solar panels can be produced and constructed cheaper in China than the USA, the inner parts and technology is often shipped to China to be assembled. This means that failing green technology manufactueres could continue production in this industry if they tweak their business model. This would provide jobs to many Americans. capitalism is based on competiton and this proposed plan includes ways to kick start American competition in the solar energy market.

If the current power providers were too invest in their community by helping install solar panels and other related equipment, new jobs may be created as well as votes for those supporting green technology. There would be an increase in need for renewable energy products, contractors and installation technicians. Support or troubleshooting techs if stationed in the US could provide many jobs to out of work Americans.

If the government were to inact a stimulus like effort and rewards program for power providers who are implementing green technology, money will circulate in this budding industry. The initial investment is always substantially larger than the immediate future gains.

I, the undersigned, propose that solar panels are installed on the roofs of government and other public buildings such as public schools, libraries, post offices, city halls, fire departments, etc in order to set a good example for our citizens and nudge the green energy economy sources towards success. Managers and other high level employees that help transition their work place to green energy should recieved tax breaks or other incentives.

Power harvested through solar energy can be sold back to the power providers through private citizens. If the excess energy or profits from stored and unused energy on public buildings, the funds could be used as tax revenue or reimbursement for stimulus and other incentive programs for green energy providers. Extra energy from public buildings only could have the extra funds funds re-appropriated, especially if the government were to help in providing monetary or other support when implementing these projects. This would help offset the initial cost of installing and creating new legislature to benefit inventive and adaptive companies that invest in renewable energy.

By making these long term investments in a newer industry, we provide this new market with incentive to succeed and innovate. Akin to the Roosevelt infrastructure projects that gave Americans jobs and transitioned our country into a brighter future, renewable energy is a future Americans want to invest in.

Through supporting the people who demand less dependence on fossil fuels with a transition to renewable, clean energy, both politicians and citizens benefit from mutual support of common goals, the biggest being an even better America for tomorrow.
