Support Death with Dignity

Terminally ill patients should have the right to make end of life decisions.

We are a civilized society that believes in upholding the rights of its citizens. Do these rights stop when end of life decisions are to be made? Except for two states, the answer is yes. A person who is suffering from a terminal illness should have the right to end their suffering in a peaceful, dignified manner surrounded by friends and family. The right to live and end one's life in the manner they see fit should be a fundamental right of all American citizens. It is not a religious issue or a moral issue. It is a health care issue.
