It concerns me that the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11th is approaching and the government has not encouraged Verizon/Union to work harder to negotiate a contract. When the planes hit on Sept. 11th 2001 cell phones did not work and it was the landlines that provided communication. Please encourage Verizon to at least let the workers come back and work under their old contract...the Union offered this all along and Verizon refused. -

Pols think we are handed everything, but we Collective Bargain every and anything we have this day. Reform should be done, but not to the working people who pay into their pensions and don't but corners, Unions are what built this country and now people are trying to tear them a part, NO NEED! As a non union worker I am proud that the CWA is standing up for what is right. Being able to support a family is the American Dream. It seems as though people have forgotten that over time. Ask me how to fix the economy...I will tell you that unless Verizon starts negotiating the economy will only get worse. It is clear that Corporate America is out of control from the compensation that CEO's receive to the taxes that are not paid. The true job creators in America are middle class people not corporations.
