Stop School Tragedies Now Install Metal Detectors at EVERY US SCHOOL
Make it a Federal Law to Install Metal Detectors in EVERY school in the United States
If you took the time and read the history of all school shootings and attacks, they date back more than 100 years. The problem is not weapons, it is those who choose to bring them into our schools unlawfully with the intent to hurt others. With all the recent bullying issues, and now sadly the loss of all the children today in Connecticut, isn't it time we tried something smart.
We the people are asking for the safety and protection to help prevent some of these tragedies from even entering the thoughts of some, by simply installing walk through metal detectors in ALL SCHOOLS across the United States of America. We feel by taking this approach it will help cut down significantly these horrendous acts on innocent lives.
Along with walk through detectors, all schools should be mandated to practice along with their fire drills, what to do in case of these type of emergencies and should have a plan in place in case these unfortunate events should take place.
Many children even think it's okay to take their parents guns to school, without the intent of hurting or killing other students in the process. Knives as well. All of this could be prevented in our schools, a place where parents should feel our children are most safe.
PLEASE, Mr. President I watched you speak today, millions of Americans are heartbroken young children, their parents will not get to see them open their presents on Christmas Morning.
