Stop factory farming
Stop the abuse of animals in factory farms by closing them down.
I am a vegan, but I cannot expect everyone to become vegans, What I would like is to close all factory farms down. There is no need for an animal to be abused and kept in tiny pins until the day they die. There is not a legitimate reason for this to be done. There should be a law passed to close all factory farms and let the family farms raise the animals that have to be killed for human consumption. I know the question will come up; is there enough land to have family farms that produce enough live stock for the amount of meat needed for this country. Well this is a good question and the answer is; once the factory farms are closed these places could be given or bought at a low price by real farmers. Not only is it better for the poor animals that are going to have to die, but studies show meat from abused animals is not as good as meat from animals raised humanely. There should also be some rules on how these animals are treated on family farms also .I know that family farms can be abusive as much as factory farms, if the wrong person is running it. There should be monthly or at least yearly checks to ensure the treatment of these animals.
