Stop the Deportation of Orlando Fernandez & All Long Time Residents( Legal Permanent Residents) convicted of petit crimes

People make mistakes and do not deserve to be sent to a country they do not know just becuase they were born there

Many immigrants come to the U.S.legally as a child or infant and consider the U.S. their country, even though they were not born here. Just as millions of U.S. citizens, these people also may get into trouble for many different reasons. But because they were born somewhere else, the U.S. Government makes it their right to deport these immigrants back to a country that many do not know or even speak the language. While if you are a U.S. Citizen, you can rape, kill, rob, steal. tax evade etc, serve your time & be released over & over again. Yet the government has no problem returning someone to their country for a petit theft where noone was harmed. It is a disgrace about the double standard created here in the Land of the Free and the home of the brave! This country was based on immigration as we ALL came from other countries or did we forget that? Do we remember the only real citizens are those stemming from the American Indians? Each one of us has a parent or grandparent, great grandparent who came from another country. How would you feel if this happened to them?

Many of these same immigrants are married to U.S. Citizens, have U.S. citizen children, work, pay taxes, own homes & businesses and because of a mistake can have all that taken away from them. The Government has taken it upon themselves to rip families apart and destroy the lives of the children who are innocent. People can change & do not deserve to be ripped away from their families. In some cases these immigrants are sent to countries they do not know, speak the language or are a placd in a dangerous situation as their could be high crime, danger & violence in these foreign countries. In addition you force the family left behind to be without their loved one or go to a place they do not know, cannot afford to be, suffer from lack of adequate medical care, education & language barriers.

I am asking that we stand up the U,S. Government, DHS & everyone else who wants to take freedom away from those who came here to seek it. To not rip families apart when their ties are so stong here in the U.S. and not deport anyone for petit crimes, especially those that did not involve violence.
