Stop Daylight Savings-Save our Mental Health

Hello,

First, I would like to thank you for your service to the American people. As a mental healthcare worker I see firsthand the negative impacts of daylight savings time on my patient’s’ mental health. We often have an increase in restraints (needed for the safety of the patient and others) during daylight savings time. This is due to patients being sleep deprived, which can cause confusion and agitation. This is especially difficult to watch happen to patients who were previously stable and suddenly de-compensate, all because of an antiquated tradition. Everyone has mental health and therefore ANYONE can suffer with negative mental health symptoms during daylight savings time. Please support American’s mental health by STOPING this outdated norm. Thank you for your time and consideration.
