Start Deploying US Military Disaster Recovery Teams to Natural Disasters in the USA

Our Government currently deploys the US Navy SeaBees and other highly trained Disaster Recovery teams to Haiti, Pakistan, Thailand, Honduras and other countires, yet they don't deploy then here at home when and where we need them the most.

The The Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (the Stafford Act, 42 U.S.C.§§ 5121, et seq.) allows the President, Congress and / or the Governor of a State to utilize the US Military for Disaster Recovery; but still they don't. It has nothing "legally" to do with Unions or the "Posse Comitatus Act". We consistently use our US Navy SeaBee Battalions to deploy to natural disasters in foreign countries. (Pakistan, Haiti, Honduras, Thailand, etc..) It's time we start allowing our troops to help our own people in our own country. We implore our government officials to instruct FEMA and all other agencies and entities to start utilizing our resources in the military here at home as first responders whenever and where ever possible. It would result in great savings, improve morale and allow our own citizens to benefit and prosper from the hard work and dedication of the worlds finest Armed Forces.
