Sign this petition to outlaw non medical facilities, groups, and entities to not be able to restrict, ask for, or policy citizens and noncitizens based on vacination preference to Covid-19.
This petition is aimed at the privacy of my medical information from employers, retail establishments as well as educational facilities. I believe that the HIPAA LAW AND PRIVACY ACT were established to create a liner of protection for a patient to not feel like their medical history, ailments, and choices were forced to become public knowledge. The patient would make the CHOICE to sign a release of information and this patient could specify what was disclosed and also set a length of time the release was viable. No one except the patient could force the discloser of the information.
Currently, to re-enroll in college for fall quarter My school which I choose to have it remain anonymous is requiring a medical attestation. It has five options pertaining to if I took the vaccine or not. I believe that these facilities should not be allowed to ask or make their patrons offer up that information. The choices for the attestation were:
1. Vaccinated by Pfizer
2. Vaccinated by Johnson Johnson
3. vaccinated by Mederma (I forget the name).
4. Unvaccinated due to medical reasons
5. Unvaccinated due to religious preference.
None of these fit everyone's category. there should be:
-already had covid and my body has it's own antibodies,
-choose to not be vaccinated
-The vacination preference I have is not offered near me
-don't want to be vaccinated until tests, side effects, and other unknown data about the vaccinations has yet to be discovered by the medical community.
I feel like these institutions whom are requiring this information are violating the law and forcing a disclosure of my personal information. I feel like this is a form of segregation beyond creed, color, sexual preference or gender. This being implemented is violating the rights vested to me as a citizen. this petition should be signed and put before Congress immediately because it is demographically affecting my chance for opportunities at a career, an education, it should not be something that is concerned with either of these.
