Shutdown Congress Due to the Number of Seats Up for Election

Give the American People a Voice

A total of 469 seats in the U.S. Congress (34 Senate seats and all 435 House seats) are up for election on November 8, 2016. I agree with Mitch McConnell. All business in Washington should come to a complete halt until these 469 elections and the Presidential race have been decided. It's a principle, not 470 people. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Bernie Sanders shouldn't get to vote on anything more, it wouldn't be fair to America. Mitch McConnell especially shouldn't get to decide anything more until we're sure he's still the Majority Leader. His last act should be to bring a motion to close the Senate until after installations and the inauguration in January. Paul Ryan is up for re-election as a member of the House, we cannot be sure he will be re-elected, and reinstalled as Speaker. In fairness to the American people and to insure they have a voice, move to close Congress immediately, so that true representatives of the people can make decisions in 2017.
