Rescue Ethiopian Christian from ISIS in Libya
28 Ethiopians were senselessly slaughtered on April 19, 2015 by ISIS and we need your help to sign this petition so the U.S government can rescue the rest of innocent Ethiopian Christians from being beheaded by the ISIS.
We the undersigned, residents of Monroe County and of Ethiopian heritage and friend of Ethiopians like to bring to your attention the massacre of twenty eight Ethiopian Christians in Libya and ask your office to help those who are in hiding in Libya for fear of their lives.
On April 19, 2015, the whole world had witnessed a video clip of the slaughter of twenty eight Ethiopian Christians by a barbaric self-styled terrorist group known as Islamic State al-sham (ISIS). These Ethiopian refugees who happened to be followers of Ethiopian Christian Church were executed in the name of Islam by these fanatics. The barbaric ISIS group beheaded and shot these young Ethiopian Christians just because they were Ethiopian Christians and refused to change their faith to Islam. As noted in their video footage, ?The worshipers of the cross belonging to the hostile Ethiopian Church?
Our community has been in great distress and sadness as a result of this violence perpetrated against these innocent Ethiopian Christians in Libya. This gruesome picture of our fellow Christians haunt us, shock our conscience and must be repudiated by all faith communities. These barbaric terrorists have no clue about Ethiopia?s hospitality extended to First Muslims when they escaped persecution in Arabia and the peaceful coexistence of Ethiopian Muslims and Christians for hundreds of years.
We, humbly ask your office to follow the fate of those Ethiopian citizens who have been in captivity and who are trapped in Libya with no one to help them. We worry that for every day they remain in Libya the chance of them be slaughtered just like their compatriots increases.
We, urge you to put forward proposals which include humanitarian aid and implore your office to contact anyone within the United States Government and other friendly Countries to coordinate efforts in extracting them from Libya and Yemen to a safer place, before we observe their beheadings in the next ISIS video clip. We plead with you to do everything in your power to see the safe release of these refugees. This is a call to our sense of humanity, to American values to stand for a principle to save the defenseless wherever they are regardless of their ethnicity, religion and geographical locations.
We urge you to look into this violence perpetrated against our fellow Ethiopian citizens. We ask you to voice your concern, and extend your support for those Ethiopian refugees.
?Ethiopian lives Matter? ?Save Ethiopian Christians from Islamic militant terror in Libya?. America must not permit the massacre of additional Ethiopian Christians and it cannot just stand idly and let any human being be slaughtered for just being Christian.
