Required Remote Work Option
with rising gas prices, wear and tear on roads, traffic, longer commute times, inflation, and covid... I hear more and more co-workers and employees complaining that they can't afford to come into the office to do a job they very well could do remotely... It really isn't cost effective for the employee and it seems wasteful for employees to come into an office if their essential jobs functions can be performed remotely. I feel that all employers who's employees essential job functions can be performed remotely ( office work, admin, sales, basically anything that is not hands on like servers, welders, etc) should be required to provide their employees the option to work remotely. This would reduce the money employees spend on gas just to come to work, reduce wear and tear on roads, reduce pollution, reduce traffic and accidents, and reduce covid numbers.
