Our elected representatives along with the appointed ones must understand the hierarchy of authority in our nation, which is one of the primary principles that sets apart from all other nations, is: 1- Our Creator God 2- We the People 3- The states 4- The general or federal government The federal government was created by the creators and are therefore subject to the limited enumerated powers authorized by the creators. Governments at every level only have the powers authorized by the people. States have no rights, only people have rights that flow from our Creator God. Rights consist only of those things like life, liberty, ownership of property, and the pursuit of happiness. God given rights can only consist of those things that can be enjoyed by everyone at the same time, and that do not depend on the actions or support of others. Governments do not have powers that exceed the powers that one person has over his neighbor or any other. Governments have inherent powers to protect their citizens, maintain order, regulate the fair flow of commerce between the states and with foreign countries, set the value of money, raise and regulate our military, and other powers that were delegated and enumerated by the people. Our federal government has ignored these limited powers along with our founding principles enshrined in our Declaration of Independence. The Preamble to our U.S. Constitution briefly states the nature, the extent, and the application of our Constitution which is very limited. It is past time that "We the People" took the time to review our founding documents, and then demand that our elected and appointed representatives stop their continuous grabs to expand their tyrannical power over the people. Our governments at every lever should have no more powers than those powers the people have a right to give.REPORT COMMENTS
