Reform the Food Stamps and Welfare

We spend too much on people taking advantage of the situation and rely on the government, this needs to end.

We would like to propose the Craig Bowden Reform for welfare and food stamp assistance from the government.

We recognize that the current system is not supportable when people are taking advantage of a system that it was not designed for. We can no longer stand by and allow our tax dollars to go to persons that are not willing to help themselves.

Under Craig's Reform Plan, that he has submitted to his representatives

(1) Stricter application process, including a government issued ID check, birth certificate verification, and social security verification.

(2) Persons under welfare programs must be applying for work unless totally disabled, and must furnish proof that they have been job searching.

(3) If a person is under welfare/food stamps for 1 year, they will be employed by local, state, or federal agencies to assist in cleaning public areas until they find work.

(4) Restriction to the cash assistance. Under this plan only certain items will be allowable on the card, and no longer allowed to have cash withdrawal for non food purchases. With this plan there will also be an account set up in the person's name for utilities to be paid.

This is part of the Craig's Plan, and we are asking that it be implemented.
