Protect Our Children: Seatbelts in school buses
It is mandatory for everyone to wear seatbelts yet it isn't mandatory for the school buses our children ride in up to approx 3 hours per day don't have seatbelts and it is not mandatory to have them ? please help me change this for the safety of all

I'm filing this petition for the safety of our children, I would like to see seatbelts in all school buses I feel this will lower the percentage of injuries and deaths in school bus accidents ,I have never understood why it is mandatory to wear seatbelts in private vehicles and even public transportation has seatbelts yet our children riding in these school buses for approx.2 to 4 hours per day don't even have the option to wear them , I believe that putting seatbelts in school buses would greatly reduce injuries and deaths i in the event of an accident , it would also allow the bus driver to be able to concentrate on the road as it would keep the children in their seats and the driver wouldn't have to be looking behind him as often .This concerns me greatly , we do everything we can to protect our children yet some of us have no choice but to put our children on a school bus with a driver that may or may not have experience in driving a bus full of children thus putting our children at risk ,I am hoping by filing this petition I can get enough signatures so we can pass a new law where it is mandatory for all school buses to have seatbelts so our children are safe
