Propose 28th amendment allowing Us territories to vote in the presidential election

We the citizens of the USA agree that Congress should suggest a 28th amendment to the constitution allowing United States territories that have been granted naturalization by the USA the right to vote in presidential elections. The citizens of these islands are united states citizens, and should not have their basic American right of voting for the head of their state be denied. Not to mention many of these citizens are veterans.

We suggest as a bipartisan compromise, every inhabited USA territory that has been granted Us citizenship be allowed One electoral vote in the presidential election. This is because they are still considered somewhat foreign to the USA, are not states, and wouldn’t overpower places like Guam or Us Virgin Islands that have a low population. The amendment would also state that any current or future Unnaturalized territories will be given one electoral vote once is granted citizenship by Congress.

We find this lack of representation undemocratic and discriminatory. It’s time for the federal government to give these proud Americans the right to vote in presidential elections.
