Pressure Congress to Pass H.R.5593 - Protect Patriot Spouses Act
While securing our borders and enforcing immigration policy should be a top priority, under no circumstance should law-abiding spouses of current and former members of our military ever have to live in fear of deportation. Military spouses are an often forgotten and undervalued segment of our population. Our country has been at war for almost two decades. As our servicemen leave, the spouses and their children watch them go not knowing if or when they will see their loved one again. Every time they say goodbye could be the last time. From providing emotional support to the troops to volunteering on base to keep things running, their sacrifices and efforts should never be forgotten. To reward these brave men and women with the threat of deportation is unconscionable.
