Please repeal REAL ID Act

law has expensive and difficult provisions

I am making this petition to our president,Barack H. Obama, our Senators and Representatives regarding the REAL ID Act of 2005, which is a seriously flawed and terribly expensive to implement. The law's main provisions mandate proof of citizenship, even for those without an immigration status, social security number, and other personal information, to states issuing driver's' licenses and identification, ID, cards. The law needs to be repealed, immediately, by our congress and president Obama needs to take a stand against this both privacy and cost effective approach to our nation's security. Our licenses and identification cards are already the most secure and misuse-proof, and REAL ID act's purposes, while commendable in light of the horrific 9/11 attacks, are expensive in terms of enforcement and cost of. Furthermore,Congress, besides being repealed, must ensure our tates and territories receive reimbursement for their hurried implementation of that law.

The law explicitly impedes people to make businesses with our federal government branch, visit national parks, and even board airplanes.
