The administration’s intent to revoke the H4 EAD will inflict lasting harm to immigrant families, US employers, & US economy, with over 100,000 people working on a H4 EAD. If revoked it would harm immigrant families by placing an added burden on H1B holders as the family’s sole income provider as they wait for their Green Cards. US employers, particularly in the IT field, would be harmed by the loss of valuable employees & would likely result in a loss to the employer’s business. Employers may be forced to look for options, like outsourcing, to replace workers, harming the US economy. Those working on the H4 EAD are paying taxes; if revoked the government would lose tax revenue, harming the economy as well. H4 EAD holders contribute to US society & economy; they don’t create a burden.
